Forbidden Knowledge in North Korea.
Have you ever wonder about those people that every single day of their lives is miserable? There are many people in many countries that are like this, but today we are only going to talk about one.We are going to talk about North Korea. This country in particular, has bad leaders, which are: liars, hippocrates, and selfish. However, I didn’t write this to talk about how bad their leaders are, but to put people in conscience to worry and pray for other peoples sake. This piece of writing only to talks about facts, things that have and are happening.
First of all, we are going to figure out what is the world in North Korea. In the article, "What is It Like to Be a North Korean Citizen?", By Jimmy Tang. In the first paragraph, talks about how the North Korea’s reputation is often shrouded with images of nuclear weapons and the country’s leader,Kim Jong-Un. This leader is just another leader that prohibits liberty. That’s why people in this Country wonder so much of what is outside their cruel world. John Everard wrote, “I once lent one set of DVDs of ‘Desperate Housewives’ and met the same person the next day with big rings under their eyes. They had sat up all night and watched the entire series in one sitting.” However most north being raised to hate the foreigners and mostly westerners. Kim’s regime has garnered a reputation for its defiant acts of provocation and dislike for the Western world, the same cannot be said for some citizens of North Korea. ,“They had been taught to hate Americans, but most of them did not. One of them told me that they had worked with Americans during one of the thaws in relations with that country, had liked them and hoped that they would return,” wrote Everard(pg.2)So this is how life in North Korea is for all their poor citizens.
Second of all, we are going to see the “human rights” of North Korea. In the article, "Human Rights in North Korea?," In the ninth paragraph, it talks about how there is no rule of law. Maintains ten concentration camps, with a total of between 200,000 and 250,000 prisoners contained therein. North Korean government has no due process system, imprisoning, torturing, and executing prisoners at will. Public executions, in particular, are a common sight in North Korea. Another thing in North Korea is that it’s a military state. Even though it’s of small population and dismal budget, the North Korean government is heavily militarized ; claiming to have an army of 1.3 million soldiers (fifth-largest in the world). Also, have enforcing patriotism. “The North Korean government enforces loyalty and
obedience through its Ministry of People’s Security, which requires citizens to spy on each another, including family members. Anyone who is overheard saying anything perceived as critical to the government is subject to a reduced loyalty group rating, torture, execution, or imprisonment one of North Korea’s ten brutal concentration camps.”(pg.1)This are the supposedly “human rights” in North Korea.
Lastly, we are going to discover things that may be ridiculously incredible for some of us. A South Korean newspaper has reported that 80 North Koreans were executed last week for watching smuggled foreign television broadcasts and possibly for owning Bibles. The Daily Mail reported that those killed “ were tied to stakes with stakes with sacks over their heads.” “Heard from the residents that they watch in terror as the corpses were riddled by machine-gun fire that they were hard to identify afterwards,” according to Huffington Post. Practicing the Christian faith is illegal in North Korea, where merely owning a Bible is considered criminal. According to Fox News, “any person caught with one is sent - along with three generations of his or her family - to prison.” This are the latest reports on North Korea.
In conclusion, as I have written before and I will write it now too; this country has bad leaders that only thinks in their selves. As we have seen this government is going from worse to unhuman. This situation relates to the book, The Hunger Games, just this is real and it’s happening right now. Although people don’t realize what is happening around the world I motivate people and myself to worry and pray for the people that suffer every day. This piece of writing is based in articles that are facts that are happening right now. This people don’t ask for money but just for a ray of hope to cross their way.
